Roadmap
A unique heritage and milestones ahead: from the first European R&D prototypes to the upcoming in-orbit demonstration, built on more than 10 M€ of competitive funding.
E.T.PACK project
European R&D project that produced the first functional Deorbit Device prototype (TRL 4) and laid the foundations of the electrodynamic tether technology.

Market analysis & business model
Market analysis and business model development for electrodynamic tether products through the EIC Launchpad programme.

E.T.PACK-F project
Follow-up project maturing the Deorbit Device toward flight readiness: a 12U, 20 kg device with a 420 m electrodynamic tether.

PERSEI Space founded
The company is established by the E.T.PACK-F team members as a spin-off of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid to commercialize electrodynamic tether technology.

ESA-BIC incubation & first revenues
PERSEI Space joins the European Space Agency Business Incubation Centre (ESA-BIC) Madrid and earns its first revenues with the BETsMA v2.0 simulator.

E.T.COMPACT project
Development of a compact electrodynamic tether system for deorbiting and propulsion (TRL 4): the technology base for the Green Mobility Module.

NEOTEC grant
NEOTEC grant awarded by CDTI (2026-2028), funding the development of PERSEI Space’s deorbit device technology towards its first commercial product.

ECO-Tethers
ECO-Tethers project with the European Space Agency, in collaboration with Thales Alenia Space and Astroscale as client representatives, gathering requirements, use cases, and product integration needs for electrodynamic tethers.

In-orbit demonstration
In-orbit demonstration of the E.T.PACK-F Deorbit Device prototype, led by PERSEI Space. The goal: develop key equipment for tether infrastructure and scale the team.

Next stop: orbit
The 2027 in-orbit demonstration of the E.T.PACK-F Deorbit Device will bring electrodynamic tether technology to flight heritage, opening the way for PEARSON, our first commercial deorbit product.
