Accessibility statement

PERSEI Space wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever tools they browse with. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we have done

Accessibility measures on this site include:

• Semantic structure: one ordered heading hierarchy per page, landmarks, and lists marked up as lists.
• Forms whose fields are programmatically labelled, with errors announced in text.
• Keyboard operability: menus, video players and dialogs can be opened, used and closed without a mouse, and focus is managed and returned.
• Text alternatives for informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
• Videos do not autoplay with sound, and animated content respects the reduced-motion preference where set.
• Touch targets sized for use on phones.

Why this page exists

The previous version of this website was built with public funding, which brought it under the Spanish public-sector accessibility rules. This one is not, so the statement is no longer required. We have kept it because the site should be usable whether or not a rule says so, and because publishing what we actually tested is more useful than publishing nothing.

Assessment status

On 27 August 2026 we self-assessed every page of this site, in both languages, with automated tooling (axe-core, WCAG 2.1 A/AA and best-practice rules). No violations were detected; the figures are below. Automated testing cannot find every barrier, so this is not a formal conformity claim: the site has not yet been evaluated by an external accessibility auditor or with assistive-technology user testing.

Latest test results

Audit of 27 August 2026, run against the whole site with axe-core 4.11 (WCAG 2.1 level A and AA rules, plus the tool’s own best-practice set):

• 23 pages, each in English and Spanish: 46 page loads.
• Over 1,600 individual rule checks passed.
• 0 failures, at every severity the tool reports (critical, serious, moderate and minor).
• 4 items set aside for a person to judge, all of them the same check on the two pages with a background video: the tool cannot measure text contrast against moving footage, so it declines to give a verdict rather than passing or failing it.

Known limitations

• The downloadable PDF datasheets have not been assessed for accessibility.
• Some embedded third-party content (such as the YouTube video player) is outside our control and may not meet the same standard.
